På forsiden av boksen er det en illustrasjon av dronning Elisabeth og bokstavene E II R. og teksten «Long May She Reign».
På baksiden står det: «A souvenir to celebrate The Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II 2nd June 1953» og «With The Compliment of OXO (CANADA) Limited Montreal» «Printed in England«.
På innsiden av lokket står det:
HER MAJESTY
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, elder daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth was born at Bruton Street, London, W.1 on 21st April 1926. Her Majesty’s twenty-first birthday occured during the Royal Family’s tour of South Africa in 1947. It was made memorable by her famous speech of dedication to her people, which was broadcast from Capetown to the Commonwealth. Her Majesty’s marriage to H.R.H. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took place at Westminster Abbey on 20th November 1947. There are two children of the marriage: H.R.H. The Duke of Cornwall, born 14th November 1948, and H.R.H. Princess Anne, born 15th August 1950. Her Majesty succeeded to the Throne on 6th February 1952

OXO Cubes vintage commemorative tin (Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 1953) (SOLD)
A vintage commemorative OXO Cubes tin (empty), produced to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. The tin, which would originally have held twelve cubes, is printed in red to the exterior, with a design incorporating the Queen’s portrait to the lid, and the words «A SOUVENIR TO CELEBRATE / THE CORONATION OF HER MAJESTY / QUEEN ELIZABETH II / 2nd JUNE 1953 / With the Compliments of / OXO LIMITED, LONDON, ENGLAND» to the base; the inside lid is finished in gilt and printed in black with a brief biography of Her Majesty.
There is some age wear including numerous scratches, scuffs and marks to the exterior (se pictures).
